ActivateATL – Public Meetings | Department of Parks and Recreation

Hello Columbus,

I hope you are doing well! I’m excited to share that the City of Atlanta’s Department of Parks and Recreation has kicked off its second round of public engagement for ActivateATL, its 10-year comprehensive master planning effort. Click here to visit project website!

Thousands of Atlantans took part in our Summer 2020 Public Meetings. If you recall, those public meetings were focused on learning about communities’ needs for Atlanta’s parks and recreation system and identifying room for growth and improvement.

Over the last few months, the ActivateATL project team has analyzed the feedback collected from public meetings, surveys, social media, focus groups, app, and more, and identified strategies to both address challenges and guide the Department’s growth moving forward.

In February 2021, we will host our final series of Virtual Public Meetings, and you’re invited to share feedback on the draft vision and recommended strategies.

I’ve attached to this email an updated flier for ActivateATL, which includes upcoming public meeting dates. We are also staying connected with the community via our monthly e-newsletter, and our new app, HappiFeet – Atlanta Parks.

We would appreciate if you could share this information within your networks – we want to make sure everyone’s voice is heard!
