Sorry for the late notice on this, but I’m sure you are all aware of the public safety challenges we’ve been experiencing in the neighborhood for several months now. To be honest, these have been ongoing for several years now, particularly as it pertains to shootings. We’ve been working hard to ensure that our neighborhood is getting the support it needs to ensure our residents are safe, but we strongly that there’s much room for improvement. With that said, in light of the fact that Mechanicsville Civic Association hasn’t been able to have an in-person meeting for a couple of months now, we have decided to host a community public safety forum TOMORROW (5/21) at 5:30 PM. I apologize for the late notice, but it’s been difficult coordinating availability for the public safety and elected officials that we’ve invited to attend.
